Cloth trousers: trends
From tight to loose and short to long – anything goes! The biggest trouser hit is definitely wider cut trousers, though. Culottes are celebrating a big fashion comeback this season, as are floor-length Marlene trousers with a high waistband, casual chinos and flared jeans. The current range of trouser styles is particularly advantageous for women who may deviate from the average model in size and height.
What to wear with cloth trousers
Trousers are true style chameleons and go with almost everything. Try them with blouses, blazers and high heels for an elegant look, or Chelsea boots and a leather jacket for a cooler outfit. For everyday wear try them with a T-shirt and trainers. And even tracksuit bottoms are good for a night out when paired with a shirt blouse and high heels.
Exclusive fashion tip
Cloth trousers are great all-rounders, but only if you find the right pair for you. Women with strong thighs look best in bootcut trousers, while short women with short legs might prefer flares or capris. They elongate the leg and make you look a few centimetres taller. Meanwhile, if you have thick calves it is best to stay away from skinny trousers.
